Voyagers are very (very) loosely derived from AM96s, so that both have that problem isn't surprising!
I think they came out of the same factory in Brugge? Angry doors aside, I think the AM96 are great. Hard to believe they have been running 25 years.

The Class 222 Meridian units with EMR also have a foot stud that will (re-)open the gangway doors.

Because the Voyager doors don’t slide inside the wall, if you store luggage under the seats in the area the door slides into, it can get crushed/damaged or damage the door (if you’re very unlucky!).

Aren't there a temporary door closer shutoff switch on the ceilling? Where it will make the door go into manual mode for a few minutes.

Most of every trains in France have one, it's extremely convenient in TGVs especially.
Yes there is operated by a T key

I think on 222s, the two sets of gangway doors between coaches both open with a single button press, whereas with 220 and 221 you have to press the button on each door individually. Though this is going back a while, so that might have changed..
220/221 were altered to work this way some years ago to assist with the trolleys going through the train
