Just in on the news here.
A collision between two metro trains in an Amsterdam station has left 31 people injured. Ten people were taken to hospital including the train driver, who had been trapped in the vehicle for some time.
The authorities say the accident occurred because an earlier incident at Amsterdam's Central Station meant a train was standing at the Wibautstraat station platform.
The incoming train driver was unaware that an empty train was parked at the station. Several metro stations were evacuated and closed in the wake of the accident.
The incident is under investigation. It is not yet known when the Amsterdam metro system will return to scheduled service.
