Seen this on RTT before but first time in person. I assume it's very rare. Why is it diverted from the GWR mainline?

And if possible would anyone be able to tell me if there is anything else unusual through Rhoose in the next hour or so? Would be fun to get some rare shots =D

Looking at Opentraintimes 2N21 appears to have got stuck at Llanharan. Up/eastbound trains would need to divert via the VOG to get to Cardiff Central. Westbound trains appear to be unaffected.

Looks like 1L24 Swansea to Paddington is also just about to be diverted at Bridgend.

2N21 arrived 4 late then hasn't reported departing Llanharan despite being there for over an hour now.

I was on 1L22. We had to reverse out of Bridgend to access the crossover to the down line and the ran through Bridgend non stop and onto the Vale of Glamorgan. The Vale can only be accessed from the down line.
