Class 710 operating 2L51?

Just at Willesden Junction and imagine my surprise when I see a Class 710 operating the (I think) 2L51 1708 Clapham Jct to Stratford service. Pathed as a Class 378 according to RTT. Has this happened before?

I have seen a 710 running a Mildmay line service, but I believe it is very rare.

I travelled on 1708 Richmond-Stratford one day earlier this week and that was a class 710. I was similarly surprised.

That’s the timing load, just what the service is timed for, not what class will be allocated to the service.

Happens more often than not, particularly on Sundays.

I’ve seen both, although they tend to be a /3. To be fair the NLL is not hopelessly overcrowded much these days with 8tph off peak and 10tph peak.

Not sure in this instance but when I had a 710 on this line it was a 4 car.

The train I travelled on was a class 710/3, which I didn't know existed. The 1708 Richmond-Stratford was full and standing from Gunnersbury.

Oh dear oh dear, well maybe it’s just my bit of the NLL (West Hampstead - Gospel Oak) that never seems too bad?
