They split at Bournemouth. I believe it's the front five coaches that continue to Weymouth, with the rear five coaches proceeding into the middle sidings at Bournemouth, ready to form the next Waterloo service (after being attached to the next 'up' service from Weymouth).

Correct, spot on Damon. The rear half sit there for 20-30 minutes then get towed back to London Again

it really depends on what happens on the day but sometimes i belive once they have split the front 5 go to weymouth and the rear 5 continue to poole and if there are problems with units you get the occasional rear 5 to weymouth but 9 out of 10 times it will be the front 5 to weymouth from Bournemouth.

It could be done sending 10 down to Weymouth but special permission is needed as far as I know. It's to do with the weaker power supply.

At least that was the regulations for a ten car Wessex.I only ever worked an 8 car slammer down to Weymouth once (in 15 years) and I do remember 1307 was in the formation.
