Hi
We are working on a project for RSSB related to factors affecting horn noise.

Bit of a long shot but does anyone have any video/audio recordings of the Class 43 and Class 800 horns recorded with the same equipment on the same line?

Cheers

Depending on how this research is going be used. I think your better off asking GWR and getting these recordings first hand. I can think of several Western depots (St Phillips Marsh and Long Rock Penzance for example) which still look after both HSTs and IETs.

Thank you. Those depot tip-offs are very helpful. It is our intention to make some measurements, as you can imagine in the current climate organsising these is a bit tricky. So any background comaprisons is useful in the interim. M
