A bit pedantic here but one classic Eurostar set is used by Izy between Paris and Brussels.

I suppose along those lines Pendos would work for a low-cost open-access classic WCML operation, but while that isn't them working for VTWC is does keep (a few of) them on the WCML!

Definitely not scrapped though, even if the 4 unused driving cars were. And there was a fairly good reason for those being unused.

Yes, but that's a high-speed service, exactly what they were designed for. It's not like using them on the Cathcart Circle or something.

Not really, they trundle along Paris-Lille between Paris and Arras, instead of using LGV Nord as it means they pay less track fees.

The 8 London end driving cars had roller shutter doors for the luggage space, at their cab end, and they rebuilt 4 of them using the normal doors and surrounding structure from the scrapped four. The total number of 458 and 460 vehicles (184) was turned into standard length 36 x 5 car units - this meant only 180 vehicles were needed anyway.
