Class 153 Exhausts

On all other kinds of Sprinters, including the Class 155s, the exhaust were fitted in between the carriages. Where are the exhausts on a Class 153, where did they move them to when the 155s were being converted, did it take alot of structural work to achieve.

The single pipe exhaust stack on a 153 runs up through the bodywork at the No.2 end (small cab end) behind the luggage rack/cycle stowage area.
