I was at a London Underground Railway Society talk in the late 1970s, I think it was, about the Crystal Palace railway. At the time there was archaeological work being undertaken to find the toute, and especially to see if the car was still there in its tunnel. A short while earlier the papers had been full of the woman's claims that she found the car, etc. The speaker said that he and some other people went to see her and the implication in due course was that she was not to be taken seriously. I think since then more work has been carried-out to find the route?
