Can anyone tell me if these have changed since the May timetable change? I'm preferably looking to ride a 172 between Bicester North and Leamington Spa, earlier in the day if possible. Hoping to do the return leg on a Silver mark 3 set, or vice versa.

Thanks for any help.

There hasn't been any change since May, to my knowledge. Chiltern switched to their leaf fall timetable this week but that only affects the services up the Met.

Not sure if there are many 172s that go north of Bicester though, I think there's one mid-afternoon and there's definitely one early evening. Doubtless someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly...

On Saturday 24th August 172102 worked the 0909 Marylebone - Stratford-upon-Avon and 1135 return. (I know because I travelled on it).
Not sure if this is normally diagrammed for a 172.

Well if those Marlyebone-Stratford ones are right then I'll definitely be able to do one of them. Seeing as it was 'IIRC', can anyone else double-confirm any of them?

Thanks to everyone who's replied thus far.

I can confirm 0645 MYB-SAV is usually a 172 having travelled on it regularly, most recently about 3 weeks ago. (Forgot about this one in my previous post as I was only thinking of the diagram for the other 2 units )

The 0916 is the return journey (recently retimed by a couple of minutes, I think to allow for the new stop at the Parkway), which then forms the 1218 from Marylebone according to Realtime trains.

I've worked out the diagrams simply using Open Train Times for ECS/splits (Not that many split mind) and the London Midland timetable for the Dorridge, Stratford, Whitlocks End and Leamington routes, each show how many cars are booked, so 4 car 2 x 172 2 car, 3 car is a 3 car 172, 5 car, 3+2 car 172 etc

EDIT all are 172's bar a couple of short turns, which are covered in this post:

Thanks everyone who's answered so far. If anyone has anything else now is the time as I might do this trip on Tuesday. I don't want too much risk of something else turning up on a 172 diagram... Might do it further south between Bicester and Risborough.
