Charity the Railway Benefit Fund are delighted to announce the return of Railway Family Week, from 24 – 30 April. Below are some of the fantastic ways to get involved over the next few weeks.

Auction of Experiences

The charity’s hugely popular Auction of Experiences is now live, with plenty of money-can’t-buy experiences available to bid for. There are some incredible prizes up for grabs, including an Elizabeth line cab ride, behind the scenes station visits, a tour of the British Transport Police dog school and even a day with Pete Waterman and his award-winning model railway.

Bidding closes on Thursday 4th May, with new experiences being added daily.

Hornby Daily Draw

Everyday during Railway Family Week RBF will be giving away an incredible Hornby prize. To be in with a chance to win, simply purchase tickets, starting at just £5. Each day a winner will be randomly selected, and a Hornby item will be heading their way.

As part of Railway Family Week, RBF are giving one lucky person the chance to win an incredible Desktop Departures Board! These products are incredibly popular and perfect for any rail enthusiast. Shame it's auctions as I reckon those sort of experiences will raise far more money by doing it as raffles.

Say £10->£20 a ticket (depends on what it is) and more might be sold to those who can afford £20 but wouldn't dream of entering the auction to pay multiple thousands of pounds.

Hi there,

We are conscious that auctions aren't accessible to all, which is why this year we have two raffles available with tickets starting at just £5 so more people have chance to get involved :)
