Certain FCC tickets no longer valid on EMT?

I've heard announcements about this on the train into London before, but it's never actually been of any relevance to me, so I haven't payed attention.

Which tickets are no longer valid from Luton and Bedford? I tried the EMT website to no avail.

Day Travelcards is one that comes to my mind, but this seems quite strange to me.

The only thing I can think off of the top of my head would be 'London Thameslink' tickets. In many cases this will require a change at St Pancras.

Unless the routeing on these has changed to FCC Only or First Cap C Only, then these are valid on EMT and should be accepted - WebTIS shows this as being the case.

Yes. LT tickets are valid but only to St Pancras. But EMT have been announcing something on their trains as of the last month or so, despite the tickets being any permitted.

Thameslink Daysave? or Groupsave ???

Neither GroupSave nor DaySave are accepted on EMT from St Pancras. I can't say with certainty about other stations.
Also the tickets that EasyJet and Ryanair sell on behalf of FCC.

The new FCC super off-peak returns/travelcards to London (only available for travel at weekends) can only be used in FCC services, at a lower cost than the normal off-peak return.
These have just been introduced on the GN route - are they also available on the TL route?

Why did FCC introduce FCC-only tickets on the GN route when there are only FCC services actually stopping at most stations?

I am not complaining about cheaper fares obviously, but it seems rather odd!

Presumably so that they get all of the revenue from north of Stevenage as otherwise NXEC would take a share - the normal off-peak returns & travelcards are valid on NXEC services from Stevenage to KX.
It would apply even more from Peterborough as NXEC are generally more frequent & faster.
Also, prevents travel from Cambridge via NXEA to Liverpool street - so yet another ticket option for Cambridge passengers going to London to choose from as there are already NXEA only tickets!

Yes they are. In addition, the SOP Return is only available to KGX from GN stations and to London Thameslink from TL stations.

The tickets are interavailable as far as I can tell except as stated in the T&Cs listed on the FCC website (http://www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk/Main.php?iCmsPageId=473):

These are First Capital Connect fares and only apply for travel on its services from Peterborough and from stations between Brighton and Three Bridges.

If these tickets are supposedly not accepted by EMT/NXEC then what's the point of rule 11*? :? Surely rule 6 (the one you quoted) covers full-fare and Railcard/GroupSave-discounted variations anyway. Also note that stations between Bedford Midland and Radlett inclusive are not stated (OK, they're mentioned further up the page so perhaps it's just an oversight on their part).

I understand why FCC would do it at Stevenage, Peterborough and Cambridge - but I think these cheaper fares are available from every GN station.

They've also introduced the carnet scheme now too, giving ten tickets for the price of nine.

Who said the tickets weren't valid on NXEC/EMT?

Rule 6, only forbids travel on NXEC services out of Peterborough and Southern services out of stations between Brighton & Three Bridges. It does not forbid NXEC services to/from Stevenage or any of the EMT services that run parallel to the Thameslink network.
