Central Line Working Timetable vs Online Timetable

Hi all, I'm planning a route for an alternative tube challenge (Roads, Streets & Lanes) when I noticed that the WTT and timetables listed on the TfL Timetables page rarely match up. Both appear to agree on the initial departure time from the first station of each trip, however gradually de-sync throughout the route.

I'm assuming this is either due to some effect of the problems with central line trains or some change to a temporary speed restriction (or very possibly my own inability to correctly interpret the WTT)

Regardless, for the purposes of tube challenges, which one is generally more accurate? I'm specifically looking at the Monday-Thursday 10:20 Shepard's Bush to 10:31 Hanger Lane service listed on the TfL website - which appears to be roughly 2 minutes later on the WTT.

The Central line haven’t been running the full timetable WTT70 for over a year now. See this thread, in particular post #150 onwards for details regarding the current Timetable Notice (TTN) 37/25 which is currently in operation.

Central line - shortage of serviceable trains

In a few weeks time I need to take a group from Holborn to Theydon Bois and back on a Saturday. Should we allow extra time for our journey given the rolling stock shortage, or are we likely to be OK on a Saturday?

In relation to your question, it seems the departure times are correct, but the arrival times are not. It seems to be displaying the station names twice which gives some clue something is wrong. If you look to plan a journey from Hanger Lane, to Northolt, it shows the departure time of your train, as 10:33, which is correct.

The train in your link seems to be T034. This is timetabled to arrive at White City 1023 so would leave Shepherds Bush 1020. This leaves North Acton at 1030 so would arrive at Hanger Lane at 1033. (I haven't included the seconds as these are not displayed on the public website).
