Carshalton commuting

Carshalton / Carshalton Beeches - I'm hoping to move near one of these stations. Does anyone know how busy they are for commuting into London? I'm assuming it's standing room only but it would be good to know I will be able to get on a train at least! Also are Wallington and Hackbridge any better or worse?

Personally I would get on at Carshalton.

The Beeches services are via W. Croydon and tend to fill up a lot when they go throug hSelhurst etc.

Hackbridge has little parking. Wallington has parking but I would get there early as it is a busy one.

All the stations you mention have very little local parking as there are restrictions. Sutton has a large car park but get full early.

Thanks for the response. I'm not planing on driving to the station so that's not really an issue, but good to know that Carshalton rather than Beeches is hopefully a less busy line

I guess it will also depend on where you want to travel to.
Carshalton has trains to London Victoria and the Thameslink route (Blackfriars/City Thameslink/Farringdon/St Pancras) and they take around 30 minutes. There are also peak time trains to London Bridge taking around 40 minutes.

Carshalton Beeches has trains to London Victoria taking around 40 minutes and peak time only trains to London Bridge taking around 25 minutes.

That's great, thanks for the info. I hadn't spotted the Thameslink trains go through Carshalton. Personally I'll be heading to London Bridge but the missus has to get to Holborn so Thameslink and a walk could be the best option.
