Just try some and see what they come out like.
1/1000 sec would be a good start depending how close the train is, the closer the higher it needs to be, zoom in on it and it can be lower.

Also, in cloudy conditions at this time of year, you need to push the ISO settings up to 400 or 800, so you can get an aperture that gives decent depth-of-field if you are using 1/1000 in Tv mode.
