Although assuming the code can be made large enough to get scanned by the member of staff so the details can be checked it shouldn't matter (as the code will soon flag up if the railcard screenshot has been doctored with the date etc)
(off course, revenue might want it shown within the app)
To be really blunt, a screenshot of a railcard is not a railcard.
Scanning only helpfully shows data of the name and validity dates… it doesn’t show the photograph.
The easiest tactic in the book is to screengrab, photoshop a new photo, and replicate.
Revenue staff shouldn’t be accepting screenshots - and they’re surprisingly easy to spot (typically shown in a gallery app for starters!) Zooming into the code vs. tapping on it is the second give away.
