hi guys,

I just wonder why Stagecoach won't create new route map for Wigan since stagecoach take over in 2012? Any idea? My guess stagecoach won't investiment new wigan/Leigh and Manchester route map for stagecoach bus website, like mansfield, Aberdeen, etc etc.

I'm interest to know which large circular in the world in stagecoach UK or other operate if anyone don't mind, thank you.

Cheerio.

There's a quite few circular routes in West Midlands, 360A/C in Coventry (Largest in the UK and possibly in the world), 11A/C, 8A/C in Birmingham, 25A/C in Wolverhampton, and W1A/C in Coventry as well.

Routes above are all operated by National Express West Midlands except 360A/C and W1A/C which are operated by De Courcey.

One possibility may be that they're considering re-drawing of the network around Wigan?

Stagecoach also took over the former operations of First in Chester & the Wirral at around the same time as they acquired the Wigan operation. For almost a year, no maps were available & the website said "coming soon" for maps of Chester. Recently, Stagecoach have announced/implemented changes to routes & have subsequently produced maps to fit the bill.

Thank,

Anyone know why Rotala are quoting that they are *not* taking over the DeCourcey 360A/C. Most odd.

That's because Rotala won the tender, however at last minute they backed off. This was after Centro had put all timetable info posters up on the bus stops.

This is the explanation Simon Dunn gave over on the WM Bus Forum.

We were priced the contract based upon the tender information we were provided.

Upon awarded, we noticed that there were inaccuracies within the tender document. An example would be, the mileage qouted was less than half the actual mileage.

Therefore we discussed this with Centro, and they decided to retender the contract.

Nowhere near.

Beijing's Route 740, which runs along the Fourth Circular, comes in at 66.58km, which is over 41 miles.

With the Wigan area in mind, are the services 640, 641, 642 and 643 still bi-directional circular routes that cover Pemberton, Orrell Park, Gathurst, Shevington, Standish and Wigan ?

Yes and also 638, 639 by Wigan Bus Limited on hybrid bus.
