I have heard a few bus drivers use nicknames for destinations

That was a suggest for London Country's MAP scheme but wasn't taken up - I think they used C-Line.
I don't know if such nicknames are particular to bus companies or are just in common usage anyway. The holy trinity of CasVegas, Ponte Carlo and Wakeypulco are well known in that corner of West Yorkshire, etc.
Perhaps better suited to a trivia thread elsewhere?

That's a name for them in the football world as well when the town's football team tried to buy their way out of non league football

I went on a trip to Hunstanton yesterday, but it wasn't until I got there that I realised that the nickname "Sunny Hunny" was in common use there, including being emblazoned on the back of a Lynx bus that I saw there.
