Deltic, do you find your phone calls the wrong person much on the voice system? Mine often calls someone completely different to what I've told it, yet it can do word perfect voice command sms-Ing

It tends to behave itself if it knows the number and I have given it a voice tag, like "office" or "Mrs D". but if it doesn't know the number, for example if I am given the number of the the drop off to call if I get lost, then it has problems and stopping to manually input the number is the only option.
Calling my Grandad in Stafford first brought my attention to this when it turned 01785 into 0785.

Oh, I won't do it for a 2 second glimpse. I get itches too and it is very difficult to get a good glimpse into the cab of a vehicle. I will be looking very closely from the passenger seat of another vehicle or from the drivers seat in traffic jam.

We all have itches but it won't stop me having a go at those that I witness clearly with a brick.

Its the dropped lower jaw look when the horn goes is the best give away.

I don't want to see anyone lose their job but I don't want to stand at funerals either.

I understand now and share your view. If you are 100% sure then a call to the right people may be what is needed.
As i mentioned in a previous post the BBC TV series Traffic Cops showed to good effect what can happen if you are distracted by a mobile phone.
I will admit to having spoken on the phone whilst driving once or twice (though I will stress this wasn't in a work vehicle) and that show scared the hell out of me I now don't even have the phone switched on whilst driving.

I want using a handheld phone at the wheel to be like drink driving in a social setting.
