Does anyone know where I could find a picture guide to the 13 different designs of tender used on the British Railways standard classes? I can find many lists of designations but no images to accompany them all other than one or two.

Just had a brief look. Lots of photos but nothing saying which designation they are. Lots of BR this and BR that in print but no photos to match.
Hope you have better luck.

Not my photo but this will give you an idea of what a BR1 type tender looks like. These were attached to lots of different classes of BR standard locomotives.

Thanks! I would recognise a BR1B, BR1J and maybe a BR1F but not so familiar with the rest and am interested to learn.

There have been a couple of articles about Tenders - including BR types in the last two or three "Steam Railway" magazines. It might be worth contacting the author/magazine to see if they can help?
