I had booked a Eurostar ticket as part of a London-Spezial ticket from Deutsche Bahn, and wanted to buy a ticket from Horsham to London to connect with it.
I had first called the Eurostar number listed in the forum FAQ but didn't manage to get through. I then tried the general Eurostar number and had to wait for a while; the lady there was friendly but had difficulty helping me as she apparently did not get that sort of call often (for example, the lack of a PNR number on my ticket stymied her attempts to look up my booking). She suggested I call Bob at the number in the FAQ (01233 617913) M-F 9-5.
So I tried that again the next day and got through to Bob (after some technical difficulties: I could hear him but he couldn't hear me - fortunately he seemed to be aware of that problem and told me to redial, after which things worked fine).
Bob was not only friendly but extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Things were a breeze. Booking the connecting ticket for the day earlier was not a problem, for example.
I can highly recommend him.
