HALLO,

I May be in Kent & Sussex next June 2011 for a week or so, does anyone know if the extentions to the main line at East Grinstead & Eridge for the Bluebell & Spa Vaelly Railways will be opened and up and running by then, they have been along time coming and seem to be almost there.

Tks.

The Spa Valley Railway extension to Eridge has been held up by unforeseen delays in the paperwork and is now expected to be opened during 2011. I would suggest in the New Year start looking for an advance announcement notice of the opening date which will be publicised on their web site or railway press.
The Bluebell Railway has opened about half a mile of track at the East Grinstead station end of the line. The completion of the line between Kingscote and East Grinstead is not expected to built for maybe another couple of years. There is still about another 100 yards of DEEP cutting to excavate and remove for which work is not expected to recommence until Spring 2011 dependant on finance.
