Have just finished watching this fantastic show on I-Player and can highly recommend the wonderful insight into the Feline Family from the Jungle to the Desert to the frozen wastes of Siberia and just about everywhere else on the Planet.

A shame it's not David Attenborough doing the narration but you can't have everything.

Coming hot on the heels of Blue Planet this is an example on the BBC at it's very best - in my view it is without doubt the finest Broadcaster anywhere on the planet considering the diversity and quality of it's output in so many areas.

£3 a week - it's a bargain.

Perhaps not as exciting as big cats, but BBC4 this week began re-running a series shown on BBC2 in 2016 about the wildlife in the Scottish Highlands. It, and its predecessor in 2013 about Hebridean wildlife, are some of my favourite nature documentaries from recent years, not least because of the beautiful musical score accompanying them too. Episode 1 about the Highlands can be found on iPlayer here.

Yes I remember that - very good.

There are some very small "kitten sized" Cats in Big Cats - more varieties than I imagined existed.

I would have thought "Fat Cats BBC 1" would be more appropriate !

Another programme I watched was Turtle, Eagle Cheetah: A Slow Odyssey on BBC4. No audio commentary, just footage from the animals' point of view. It's still on iPlayer and worth watching.
