Just wondering if anyone recommends a screen wash for summer. Looking for something that’s particularly good at removing insect splatter and bird poo. I find it difficult to get myself to the windscreen to remove on the daily basis they’re building up at.

Screen wash is just antifreeze and water so I wouldn't have thought there would be much difference.
Just put a bit of car shampoo and water in a trigger bottle for removing bird droppings etc. Also useful for getting droppings off from other areas of the car

My dad had some fancy screenwash which supposedly (over time) built up a protective layer on the windscreen which meant flies etc were easily wiped off by the wiper blades. He thought it did actually make a difference, but not straight away.

I bought a box of 24 bottles of Holts One Shot screenwash concentrate from ebay for £20 last year - I've still got about half of them left and I find it does an excellent job in the summer.

I use Sonax Xtreme Clear View or Autoglym Ultimate Screenwash. These are both good products in my experience.
I find you get what you pay for, and certainly don’t be tempted to use washing up liquid!

You certainly do - my screenwash isn't very good, but it was free. Plain water!
I use ASDAs concentrate (never buy ready mix, always seems a duff deal) and that seems to do the job. Admittedly it doesn't shift insects but then neither does the fancy stuff I bought as a distress purchase from a Shell garage when I forgot to fill up the screenwash before a long journey and suddenly couldn't see due to dirty spray smearing over the windscreen!
