If you like Underground trains, quite a few years ago I stayed in what was then the Copthorne Tara Hotel in South Kensington, the back rooms of which look down onto the Circle and District lines' Gloucester Road/High Street Kensington junctions.

This is a view from a room at the Novotel London Paddington - taken about ten years ago. We've been there a few times since and the view varies depending on how many floors up you are and how near to the corner nearest the tracks. You'd have to specify a room on the west side of the hotel.
