Berlin U-Bahn "Cabrio" tour

These are not wild fantasies on our part, but just two of many exciting and surprising stories that are hidden behind Berlin's subway stations. In an open subway car, you will travel at around 35 km/h through the Berlin subway tunnels. The tour lasts about 2 hours, during which our host will provide you with interesting facts and curiosities about the structural features and history of the Berlin subway.

The route plan shows the train traversing lines U2, U7, U8 and U9, so for track bashers there is presumably the added joy of traversing the non-passenger connections between the different lines.

I found out about this last year but too late to book (seems there are only one or two English-language tours per year and they sell out almost immediately).

Has anyone done this tour and if so, what did you think of it? Is it worth doing?

Shame it doesn't do the "Waisentunnel" at Alexanderplatz, which was used in partition times to exchange stock between the West and the DDR, but I believe it may have flooded and be awaiting reconstruction.

You cannot have everything ever wished for in life. Du kannst ja nicht alles wunschenswertes im Leben haben, oder?
From that BVG=Berlin ´LT´: ONLY FRidays, with 2 tours, duration around 2 hrs.- at 19.00 and 21.30, IF there are no restrictions due to works or whatever, a list will be put online late march, cost a hefty 58€/p/p/-or nearly same as 1 month of travel all over Germany with D-Ticket. Explanation via headsets in german-there is no clear announcement for /en/, except that it MAY be offered. So it looks a bit like old-style german to me: not even able to provide headsets set in another language? Or just not worth that trouble for a perhaps 20/30 takers?
Just curious (I had an auntee from Thüringen in what became DDR-but as a young girl she moved from there to the West=Köln when the Russians came in): has there ever gone such stock from EAst to WEst? I guess only the other way. And that really every minor trace like western ads etc. had to be taken off from the sets before going east.
