Bee Network scenic trip recommendations

Can anybody think of a scenic bus journey for tomorrow on the Bee Network? I have already done the 350. I was thinking the 184 from Huddersfield but I would need to get a train there first and it is a bit of a faff, I also didn't want to sit on a bus for 1.5 hours without a break.

I think the 184 is really your best bet as one of the relatively few services that leave Greater Manchester if you want a long distance through Mountains/valleys on double deckers.
You could always get off wherever you want for a break.

Just looked into it the train is far too expensive, it is too late to get any advanced singles and the cheapest ones are over £10.00. That seems mad when I only paid £26 from Euston to Manchester last week. I looked at getting a ticket from Greenfield and then a TFGM Any train/tram/bus ticket but that is still expensive. Depending on the time I may well still do the 184, but I will have to get it both ways. It was supposed to be a cheap day trip.

The 356 between Oldham and Delph or Uppermill via Denshaw is excellent. Only small buses but great scenery around Denshaw. Agreed on 350 and 184 but 184 goes further out of the city.

As a round trip into Derbyshire 237 from Ashton or Stalybridge to Glossop, 61 to Hayfield or New Mills then 358 back to Stockport.
Or 394 Marple to Glossop (only every 2 hours), then 61 to Hayfield or New Mills then 358 back to Marple.

Thanks that might be an idea, the only other constraint is I am supposed to be in Manchester City centre by the early evening, I could get the 192 bus from Stockport but the train (I think they are still running tomorrow) will probably be a better idea. I will have had enough of buses by then! Just seen the 61 is not a Bee Network bus, so I think I may get the tram to Ashton, then get the bus 237 to Glossop then get the train back to Manchester. Am I right in thinking the TGFM Bus/Train/Tram pass covers Glossop although it isn't in Greater Manchester?

No the 61 isn’t Bee Network but it will only be £3, it is very scenic. The 394 between Marple and Glossop is better than the 237. Afraid I don’t know on your last question.

System One travel cards do indeed cover Glossop and Hadfield by train.

Adult tickets also cover bus services just over the border as well with Glossop, Hayfield and New Mills all in the zone. That should mean the 61 takes the System One ticket between Glossop and Hayfield. Although I have never tried it. anyway the info is on the System One website.

The Wayfarer ticket definitely does. It covers a huge amount of Derbyshire but it's little more expensive and harder to get. (Note there is also a Derbyshire Wayfarer which is different.)

You have to be careful which one you buy as once you are outside the Greater Manchester boundary there are restrictions, it is a little confusing not helped by how the tickets are named by TfGM & not helped by the two products being the same price. The Bee Bus is not valid on non-Bee Network bus services outside Greater Manchester but if you buy a Bee AnyBus you can use it on services outside the Greater Manchester boundary but within the old System One boundary (so includes the 61 between Glossop & New Mills). Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a multi-modal option including trams and/or trams that will be accepted on non-Bee buses outside Greater Manchester (at least as far as I can tell from the wording on the website).

All the System One multimodal tickets are Anybus and are accepted in the System One area outside Greater Manchester.

Just need to ask for an System One Bus/Train/Tram (or whatever combo you want) and Bob's your uncle.
