Barnham station canopy

Passing through Barnham station on the train I noticed much of the canopy has been removed from the down platforms. Does anyone know if this is for refurbishment or permanent removal?
Pictures show the frames of the canopy still in place but the roof has been removed

Wasn't there an incident a year ago at Barnham station when part of the roof canopy fell onto the track, causing a short-circuit⚡⚡

It's been like that for weeks. No idea what's going on

It took about 2 years to rebuild Lancaster’s canopies so don’t hold your breath
