Except, I put in for a UK class 444 Desiro with loads of waffle ages ago why instead of a 442 ;) I said that the 444s are new to the SWT fleet and therefore will match with their current SWT 170 and 159.

Yeah - but we're talking Bachmann here. They wouldn't make anything so cheap & nasty as a Disastro.

Well in theroy thats wrong, If they could make high quality Desiros cheap then they can make a bigger profit margin for a 5 or 4 car set. As for "nasty" thats opinion.

Well we heard from ze drivers who vent out to Vildenrath for the training that Siemens said they are cheaper than the cheapest trams they make.

Draw your own conclusions especially after sitting on one. It's amazing how a 43 year old CIG is a much smoother ride than a Disastro.

Ironically passengers used to wait for a slammer when pigs first came out rather than travel on a 442. Some people travel to Woking & Basing now on the 159/8's rather than get on a Disastro. Don't blame 'em.

(Under Locos - couldn't decide)

Only short passengers though; you get **** all legroom on a 159... 444s ya get masses.

And I hate Woking people that get on an already busy train and make a lot of noise. They've got millions of other ones they could get on! Would be nice if Poole trains picked up the Woking stop and Weymouth ones dropped it...

hmmm they sound a lot like the Transpennine 185s we get up here. Do they build them for tracks in europe cos were been flung about the place over every point curve and STRAIGHT. At least were getting some 170s

The 444s are essentially an electric version of the 185. Just longer, oh, and a different door layout, so perhaps more like the 450.

Getting our 170s too, but we're getting your 158s, far better! :D

if they ever make a multiple unit you just know, just like the voyager, they will release a totally fictional 3 car version, and sell you the extra 4th car to make it prototypical!

There has NEVER been a 3 car voyager, but they released one.

So whether it be a Desiro or a Wessex, you can bet it wont be sold as prototypically complete! :(

We told one driver (not a One Driver) that they were going to take out the MBLS and TSW to run a 3 car on the branch.

Would have rolled down to Lymmy Pier alright but wouldn't get back again.
