Avanti Sunday first class declassified

Travelling to London today and discovered I have to get my food and drink on the buffet car, later learned the train is de classified because lots of football fans are on the train.

I got my ticket through trainsplit, can I still claim a refund from Avanti ?.

You should get the difference between that amount and the cost of the equivalent tier of Advance Standard fare.

As these are single fares, it will be the full difference.
