i had been told that Speke was its likely destination.One of the St Helens ones (4599) has been sighted after refurbishment carrying Northumbria legal lettering, and fleetnumber 7402..................however B9TL 7402 is also there for refurb, so it seems a mistake has been made and 4599 is likely to be off to Speke in 3 weeks along with most, if not all the current St Helens E400's
We’ll be making changes to a number of services across Northumberland and Tyne and Wear from Sunday 30 August 2026. These changes follow recent contract reviews by both Northumberland County Council and Nexus.
Nexus Service 392 – Marden Estate to HMRC Benton Park View
Arriva will no longer be the operator of this service following contract changes. Passengers are advised to contact Nexus for details of the new operator.
Service 419 – Morpeth to Wallington Hall and Scots Gap
Following a change of contract with Northumberland County Council, Arriva will no longer operate this service after Saturday 29th August. Passengers are advised to contact Northumberland County Council for details of the new operator and revised timetable that will be introduced the following weekend.
Service 448 – Guide Post to Bedlington Station
Following a change of school day at Bedlington Academy, the service will be revised to operate 5 minutes later throughout both the morning and afternoon journeys.
Tyne & Wear School Services
George Stephenson High School: 652 withdrawn
St Thomas More RC Academy: 678 and 687 withdrawn
Great Park Academy: New service 120 between Wideopen, Dinnington, Hazlerigg and Great Park.
Following feedback from our customers and local stakeholders, we are making a small number of service changes from Sunday 27 September 2026.
Service 28 – Middlesbrough to Marske Estate
To better support college students and people travelling to work in Redcar, we are adding two new Monday to Friday journeys:
07:50 – Guisborough, Rosedale Crescent to Redcar High Street, arriving at 08:41.
16:00 – Marske Estate to Guisborough, Rosedale Crescent, via Redcar Clock at 16:25.
Services X2 and X3 – Middlesbrough to New Marske and Lingdale
Journeys that currently start or finish at Dormanstown will be extended to run to and from Middlesbrough Bus Station.
The Monday to Friday X3 journey currently departing Dormanstown at 07:37 will now leave 5 minutes earlier at 07:32 and will run 5 minutes earlier throughout the journey. This change will provide an earlier arrival at Outwood Academy, following requests from customers.
The journey will depart Middlesbrough Bus Station at 07:15.

Most of the Kites that were stored at Stockton & Redcar have migrated over to Darlington suggesting entry to service might not be far off
