I'm staying in Arbroath on the evening of Saturday 1 August and planning to head to Aberdeen the next day. Aiming to arrive mid to end of afternoon.
I'd like to stop in Montrose and Stonehaven on the way, spending around an hour in each
Normally I'd just buy a single and break my journey, but the first train out of Arbroath isn't until after 10.30 on a Sunday, which will make the day a little bit of a rush.
Options are either to get the bus to Montrose between 8 and 9 and then buy a rail single from Montrose to Aberdeen and get on and off again in Stonehaven.
I've been looking on the stagecoach website, the east of scotland dayrider that comes up as an option seems to not go as far as my journey. Is there any other dayrider tickets I could use for the whole journey on the bus?
