Hmm... not bad. 5 days is better than nothing I suppose. But it's still a good but worse than what it was in the first place. Then again, I suppose going back to what it was would be admitting defeat.

I hope that applies to Sail & Rail! (where on some journeys e.g. Penzance to Belfast it would be rather useful!!)

Good news for PRIV tickets then!

From a business point of view, I can't see why ATOC didn't leave the 1st class untouched, (e.g. 1month out, 1month to return), and then there would be a massive plus to going first class.... the people messing about more than likely had standard class tickets anyway.

I find it odd they choose 5 days - why not 7?

Considering the Belfast piece is advertised as an 'Anytime Return', I would imagine it carries the same restrictions any other. I think a complaint to ATOC would be in order if it has different restrictions than the others. Afterall, when they changed the Outward restrictions last year, it followed the rest of the 'Anytime' tickets with the new restriction.
