I seem to remember her at Ealing Broadway and thinking she was quite menacing.

I've found another announcer who isn't included in the poll. She can be heard in this 1993 YouTube video (3:16-3:48)

I believe she could be Liz Crowther who is mentioned on this website. Does anyone know for certain whether this is the case? She actually sounds a little like Anne!

That's the original female Ditra voice used before Celia Drummond took over in 1996. According to a friend, her name is a closely guarded secret! The original male voice was that of actor John Elgar, who I believe has now passed away. Her voice is still used at Seven Sisters and Bishops Stortford stations.

Liz Crowther only did tape announcements for Clapham Junction platform 14.
