As a matter of interest the performance of train# the Maple Leaf northbound in October was 56.5% and for the 12 months it was 44.9%, not sure if the standard on this train but on the Trans Continental trains on time is within 30 minutes. On the website it invites you to "Enjoy the Amtrak experience" - hum bug, expect cattle truck conditions and you might then enjoy as it will be better than that but well below British standards. The coaches have narrow windows. The Hudson River is mostly on the left going north.
