At Ashurst the recorded voice stated that the 20.34 I think it was delayed "due to an accident at St Denys Level Crossing". It was then ten minutes late. There are of course two LCs...one at Mount Pleasant and the other in Priory Road I think, St Denys, on the Fareham branch as you swing round the croner from St Denys station.

The news was that a Transit van hit the barriers at Northam Mount Pleasant today at some point.

Mount Pleasant is the main one and Adelaide road is on the Fareham branch.
The trouble with Mount Pleasant is the amount of rail traffic and the amount of road traffic all trying to get through. It's horrendous during the rush hour, it's normally easier to go right round via Northam than wait for the barriers.

Oh and if you like drugs/ladies of the night/nutters, it's a great place to go train spotting, just take your bullet proof vest for when the local turf wars kick off. 8)

You walk through there
I worry about driving through there with none armoured vehicles!! You could easily film the sequel to 'Black Hawk down' in that area ;)

Speaking to the MOM at work today, apparently the driver kept going and they haven't been able to get his registration. They reckon by the damage he was going quite fast.

Idiots were at play yesterday at Totton's Junction Road LC...duh...red flashing thingies with alarm means STOP...there's a train coming. Not ignore and drive through as they only relate to somebody else! One total pratt once underook the two cars stopped as the lights were flashing red, and shot through. So that's three offences alone!

They should use that footage of the 31 having a little snack with the renault espace for top gear. Maybe if they put it on TV adds in stead of using all that money just for it never to be seen again then these incidents may reduce a little bit
