Location
A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
Can anyone advise when the old trainshed was actually demolished? The last visit I can remember when it was still there was in July 1992 when I went across for 37065 on a Manchester-Blackpool Summer Saturday service.

This would have been in the 1990's time period when the Manchester Arena plans were approved and the area of the former platforms 12 to 17 was totally redesigned into what is now platforms 3 to 6.

Wasn't the Boddingtons Brewery demolished in 2007?

Boddington's.....sadly.....has definitely gone, All that remains is a car park which serves the MEN, and the thousands of shops on Bury New Rd that sell snide designer gear.

Remember being instructed how to get to the northernmost platform for a football special to Newcastle in 1969. Hauled by a D200er :)

I recall there being some sort of "computer train" in platform 17 in the late 80s for a period of time. It was carriages filled with computer stuff.
