So what is the building next to the old Templeton carpet factory? It has whitewashed inner walls with large numbers on them. Is this the location of Glasgow Green station?

Had a look, Glasgow Green station frontage is still there in Binnie Place off London Rd.

Another famous spot passed every day by thousands is the old Glasgow Cross station.

Believe the statue of a chap on a horse outside the old station is a certain "King Billy" in romanesque form.
Something slightly Freudian about the statue from a Glasgow perspective either that or the artist had a sense of humour.
I know the statue has been moved 3 times but i never knew the second move was outside this station.

The statue has been in Cathedral Sq for well over a hundred years.

In the background of the picture you can see the bridge which hopefully will become part of Crossrail Glasgow opening up the whole of SW Scotland to the North and East of the country.

I seen the abandoned section of the station today. This morning, on a train arriving
from the Argyle Street side, I kept my eye on the side of the old station and was
rewarded with an instant view of a pillar and section of the platform. It lasted
merely a second, so this is all I saw.

This afternoon, on the way back, entering from Anderson, I think I saw something
else. Not too sure what, but I did see that the old station area was illuminated.

I've been using this station for years, and this is the only time I've
actually seen this. I was pleased.
