56311 - Darlington

On passing through Darlington yesterday morning, 56311 was stabled in the down sidings. On arriving back at around 16:10, it was running, sat in the down bypass alongside platform 4a and then moved into platform 4 before heading back south.

Can anyone tell me what it worked in order to end up at Darlington, and then where it went after that?

It may well have been taking something to or from Weardale or working a Stockton scrap train

Busy little 56!!

It was in Norwich last week on 25.10.12 with 6Z25 Derby Chaddesden to Norwich limestone working. (normally an 'EWS' liveried 66).

As far as I know it had worked up from Chaddesden on a scrap train and was due to have gone back south to Cardifff last night (30/10).
