Going from the maps, 1S83 stands Beattock, 1S90 at Lockerbie (hopefully within a platform), 9S97 and 1S95 in Carlisle, 5T93 ex 9S93 pending a move ECS to Preston.

1R22 - 0428 GLC EUS cancelled, starts Preston.

Geordie back from exile.
4S38 eventually looped at Carstairs.

1S83 showing as going to Edinburgh but instead heading to Glasgow? Currently 360L.
1S90 behind it currently 338L

There is a load of taxis/minibuses waiting for passengers going to Edinburgh, so its an even longer journey for them across the M8.

1S83 made it to Glasgow 360L (from Edinburgh arr time), 1S90 following it at 333L. Certainly a heck of a night, no doubt a long night for all the drivers, crew and passengers.

1S95 & 1S98 still on their way.

Edit 1S95 made it to Glasgow 287L; 1S98 236L

I had colleagues on one of the affected trains. It’s really hard to push rail use over air when such things happen. They ended up arriving into Glasgow at around 4am and have a big event starting today which they’ll have had just a couple of hours sleep prior to now.

Obviously delays occur on planes and roads too but being delayed 6 hours because of one broken down train will seem ridiculous to most people.
