3417 Bluebell Railway Handover

As mentioned in this thread, BR Blue 4-VEP unit 3417 will be handed over to the Bluebell Railway this Saturday (17th Jan). The timings for the Wimbledon Park to East Grinstead move have now been published over on the Wombledon Park Depot Blog.

I found out this morning as i signed on for work that its a bournemouth crew taking the unit from Wimbledon Park to woking then a woking crew are piloting the unit from woking to clapham junction via brentford and i asked them if i could be one of the crew on the pilot service as i was set to be spare at the depot and didn't have a job and they told me i couldn't do it as i don't have 400's and 73's on my current Train Working Licence and i was really annoyed about that i was told i might be able to take one last trip on it if i'm lucky and i don't get a job on the day just into the yard or i might just have to settle for taking pics on the day depends on how lucky i am otherwise i will have to transfer to bournemouth for a week or two to work on the lymington branch :P
