3 hours in Paris

Having decided to book Megabus for £1 e/w from Birmingham on the 26/11/2013, arriving Paris at 19:00 leaving at 23:00. Anyone got any ideas? Quick gift shopping, visit to eifel tower?

Id had a few to drink last night whilst booking but for £2 can't complain

Yes but to allow enough time to get back to Port Malliot im saying 3 hours.

Porte Maillot is on RER Line C, the same as Champs de Mars - Tour Eiffel; they're not that far apart, but do be careful with timings as train frequencies drop sharply after about 21.00.

Metro Line 6 between Bir Hakeim and Etoile crosses the Seine just downriver from the Eiffel Tower and offers an excellent, if brief, view, so I would suggest the end of your plan should be to use Line 6 from the Etoile direction to Bir Hakeim, walk from there to Champs de Mars and then make your way to Porte Maillot.

Work your timings backwards from Porte Maillot at 22.00.

Thank you my plan is to visit Effiel Tower, does anyone know where there is a supermarket ie on the scale of Tesco/Asda in this country in Central Paris. ideal for stocking up on supplies.

Carrefour is probably your best bet, I'm not sure where you could find one in centre Paris though.

To simply see it, or to go up inside it?

There's usually very long queues to get tickets and similar long queues to actually get into the tower. Probably not so bad at this time of year, though, but be aware that even just going straight up to the top and straight back down again will chew up about 45 minutes once you're inside it.

Go to Trocadero I think and see it from there, unless you want to get really close in which case use Bir Hakeim / Champs de Mars as already stated
