3 hours in Knucklas

Aside from the pub, anyone got any advice on how to use up 3 hours waiting for the train at Knucklas?

But if you're dead serious on doing it then maybe go for a walk? I don't know the area but OS maps should be able to show some walking routes in the area.

You could walk to Knighton, which although not the easiest walk (a lot of uphill walking) would be better than 3 hours in Knucklas! I would hazard a guess of 40 minute walk but I'm not sure, check Google Maps. I did it by car so I was sensible

Also worth checking out possible bus links into Knighton.

Don't bother walking west, the other shacks are ridiculously remote and very difficult to get to. And nope, there are no transport links bar the train! Want to know how awkward they were? They're in my trip report thread!

Between Shrewsbury and Llangammarch, I only need Knucklas and Pen-Y-Bont, and I'm getting PNY with a +25!

That's not bad. Not a lot near Penybont either, except for a decent size petrol station and attached shop about a 9 minute walk each way away!

I almost have the lot between Shrewsbury and Llandovery, with just Builth Road in the way there. I do have plans to do the rest, just with no winners anywhere on ATW to chase it makes Welsh shack bashing much less of a priority!

Don't forget Knucklas Viaduct too!

Ive arrived in Knucklas in the pouring rain to find the pub shut??????

Oh well...

Im cheating and bussing it to Knighton for a brew/bag of chips/somewhere warm and dry??????
