Can anyone tell me which train number the traction motors for 2424 came from? That train sounds different from the others. ;)

It might be different bearings or something, its actually the armateur mounted fan blades that make the noise
I know one of them does sound different as i see alot of them going flat out between Micheldever and Winchester
