Can anyone clear up any details on the above train please? Apparently it calls only at Shrub Hill between Foregate Street and Swindon, which seems highly odd.

Anyway, as part of my Great Escape plan I intend to return to Bath using this service, but until a few minutes ago was not even aware of its existence. Does it pass through Cheltenham without stopping, or does it take some fancy route (but via the Cotswold Line in 70 minutes?)? Also, are there any facilities on this train, and is it an HST or a Turbo?

Merci :p

P.S.: How can you keep the capital letters in the thread title as capital letters? They always revert to normal case whenever I try station or operator codes (i.e. WOF, SWI; also ATW not so long ago).

How curious... I want to know now too! I'm sure someone who knows the answer will post but I'd guess that it's a stock positioning move which runs via the Golden Valley (just ahead of the 2100 from Cheltenham). Can't work out which service it forms on arrival at Swindon though.

It might be that there are no intermediate stops to allow for routeing via either Stroud or Bristol depending on line closures.

It certainly won't be a Turbo - either 150 (or maybe 158) or HST, since it certainly couldn't do it in that time via the Cotswold Line, and Turbos aren't cleared for the other routes.

As for the headings - I've not noticed but it may be automatic to stop people SHOUTING titles. In any case, it's better to use the full station name in titles to avoid confusion of those who don't know them (e.g. BHM/BNS, BTM/BRI etc)

That would be 1B92 20:59 WFS - SWI. Correct, it is no stop from Shrub Hill to Swindon, which possibly does an ECS to St Phillips Marsh (there is/was a HST that was ECS from Worcester to Swindon then ECS to the marsh too)

It's running while there is engineering work on the Cotswold Line. The idea is that it connects with trains at Swindon to London to allow passengers to Worcester to travel without having to use a bus. It is booked for an HST, formed off the 1750 London Paddington-Worcester Shrub Hill and runs via the Golden Valley. In the return direction the west unit on the 2154 Swindon-Gloucester is extended to Worcester Shrub Hill.
