whats wrong with alstom? thats one of the companies I might end up lumbered being working for, or should I pick bombardier or siemens instead?
Nym there's nothing wrong with Alstom as a company, just the crap style of trains they (all) produce these days. I just prefer real trains that are designed to be driven rather than the ones you have to monitor whats going wrong with it more than looking where you are going.

They build the TGV's and, like em or not, you can't really say they're cr*p.
I think it's just the French getting their own back on us by building rubbish for us and decent stuff for them!
Having said that i'd still like to see Piggy Wiggys put their flying helmets and goggles on, and 180's to come to EMT replacing the awful 158's on the Liverpool - Norwich's!
Missing the big thing.
They can't tilt and so they're 110 limited on the WCML.
It would be good for Anglo-Scottish routes because of the extra capacity!
Research is a jobif not a very well paid one.......
