I have found one in NI and ROI with Fermanagh & Omagh District Council and Leitrim County Council which appear to have nothing crossing the border between them.
Are the annual railway station usage statistics for Lithuania published online anywhere. I would be interested to see how much usage each station in Lithuania gets. I have just had a quick search online using Google Translate but i can not find much.
RZD operate occasional steam locomotive special trains. They have run ones between Volgograd and Astrakhan a few years back. That passed through part of the Ryn Desert along the way. I think the only examples you will find will be special trains and railtours.
What is the furthest distance that you can get in other countries in 2026 using just local buses. So by this i mean no Flixbus or Greyhound or National Express or Megabus or Eurolines or any similar style operations. Only routes that are operated by local bus services.
There was a similar...
Back when the 350/1 units were used by Southern on the South Croydon to Milton Keynes Central services they were all driven by EWS (which then became DB Schenker and is known as DB Cargo now) freight drivers. They were not agency drivers but were a case of Southern hiring EWS freight drivers to...
Enfield Borough Council and Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council appears to be another one with no bus routes crossing. There is only one road which is a minor country road and i am not sure if it ever had a bus service.
Enfield Borough Council and Epping Forest District Council is another which has...
I am surprised that Beefeater and Brewers Fayre lasted this long. Premier Inn sold their Costa Coffee chain a couple of years ago and that is surely a much more profitable business. Costa Coffee has hundreds and hundreds of branches and has dozens of airport and service station and railway...
Cumberland Council (unitary authority) and Scottish Borders Council (unitary authority) appears to be another one. It has three roads crossing the border but no bus routes. It is a very rural area.
He should have blamed the Belgians instead. PIS system on the 707s was manufactured by and is maintained by a fully Belgian company. Siemens had no involvement in that part of the train.
I can think of all of the following examples:
• Abbey Wood (Woolwich)
• Aylesbury Vale (Aylesbury)
• Barking Riverside (Barking)
• Cambridge North (Cambridge)
• Falmouth Docks (Falmouth Town)
• Farnham (Aldershot)
• Fishguard Harbour (Fishguard Goodwick)
• Heysham Port (Morecambe)
•...
I recently noticed that East Sussex and Surrey have no local bus routes (i am not sure if they ever have in the past but i would be interested if anyone knows) despite bordering each other and having a direct road between them.
So it got me curious and i was wondering what other examples...
Just found another two bus stops in the Copthorne area that also have codes that do not align with the area that they are in.
These two bus stops are both physically in the West Sussex County Council area but yet they have Surrey County Council codes.
Domewood (E Bound)

There was also the 319 which were dual voltage. During their earlier Connex South Central / South Central / Southern / Thameslink / First Capital Connect days they used both voltages. But in their later years at London Midland / London North Western Railway / Northern they solely AC power and...
At the Post Office they were handing out these 25% off everything TG Jones discount vouchers this morning to everyone. I got one and everyone in front of me got one. It is probably a sign that TG Jones is struggling. They are clearly trying to encourage people to buy stationary and books and...
Accessible coaches are still far less accessible than a low floor bus. Ideally rail replacement services should solely use low floor buses. An accessible coach still requires you to use the stairs unless you are a wheelchair user. The entrance stairs are steep and can be difficult for elderly...
That is a good question. I presumed they still had their pantographs but i am not sure. I have quickly searched online but i can not find any photos or videos taken from a footbridge or high enough where you can see the pantograph. But it would seem odd to remove the pantograph. Why go to the...
• All 350/1 units are dual voltage but no longer get used on DC. They used to do DC work at SN.
• All 373 units are dual voltage but no longer get used on DC. They used to do DC work before HS1 was built.
• All 375/6 units are dual voltage but have never been used on AC. They used AC under...
