Not seen it asked before, but what has the reduction in sevice meant on crews? Has the number of staff available been reduced?
Are we now going to find that when the new stock can enter service there is a lack of crew available? I know staff need training on the stock, but you gave to have...
Agreed, but that means today’s interest rates are higher, not that they are high. It is a pet hate of mine that interest rates are described as being currently high, which is not the case.
We need to keep in mind that it is highly unlikely we will see interest rates in the near future to be as...
Sorry, but inflation and interest rates still sit at what are very low rates. Look back at the 1980s and 1990s and you will see what high rates looked like.

Thankfully I was wearing thick jeans and a leather jacket - still...
I had some wonderful customer service from a GWR train manager once. I emailed to say what a good job they had done and got a reply explaining why I was not entitled to compensation. Made me wonder why I bothered as they obviously didn’t read my mail properly.

Whatever the colour, the service in the far west is far from reliable at the moment. Wednesday afternoon was not great, as an example, with two consecutive down services around 90 late, leaving a huge gap before the first.
Yes there are buses, but at this time of year people are travelling...
But that is true near London, trains can be fairly empty, apart from when they are not. You can’t plan a Cornwall service on the least populated service.
