I'm in the same boat as you then. I've never experienced anything like it, been a long and painful wait for me. Looking at the recent posting its the same skill set they are just making things up every time you call its another excuse
The interview wasn't too gruelling, can't really state what questions were asked as on application it specifically said not to share this kind of info that would give others an unfair advantage but I will say dont sweat it too much and take your time to answer, I didn't really prepare at all and...
A guy from Freightliner called me up Wednesday on a private number and arranged a date and time for interview for this Tuesday coming and said I'll get an email with confirmation/location.
Bit worried as I've not got an email since, and don't have a contact for freightliner, only Opc.
The survey mentioned FTCs would be coming up (6-24 months long).
I declined interest in FTCs on the survey and am waiting for a permanent position.
I'm still quite high up the waitlist at #52 as of Friday so will probably be one of the last to start.
Those of you waiting for TM role check your junk email folders, just been notified of upcoming training courses and filled in survey for depot location preferences.
Nothing for me yet, but I have just heard from someone in tfl there are rumours of night tube returning in April and will also be running Thursday nights. I expect if true more TM staff will be required
Hi,
I'm trying to gather some information on whether being on antidepressants would mean failing a medical exam for a depot based role specifically train maintainer as I'm on a waitlist for that at the moment, any insight would be helpful. I'm not currently on them and never have been.
Thanks.
I replied yes for now, I called and they said I can change my mind and still wait for permanent, however long that will be no one knows
On the other hand it seems wasteful to invest all the training into someone just to let them go after 12 months?
Tricky one and not enough information available
I just got an email regarding TM
"We have received notification of a possibility of some vacancies becoming available in the near future on a 12 month fixed term contract, please respond to the below survey to confirm whether these opportunities would be of interest to you."
Anyone else?
