    The Netherlands use an Oyster-like transit card that's valid on buses, trains, trams - across the whole country. Granted it's not Bank card contactless but it's a lot easier than here.

    RMT Strike on SWR Train Service Information / Travel Advice (latest action suspended)

    I have an advance ticket at 11:07 on the 9th March from Basingstoke to Exeter. Looking at the timetable that SWR have posted I will now (assuming everything works) get into Exeter after 15:00. (Normal timetable gets in at 13:43). Is it likely that I could use GWR Services to do this journey...
